CSD-Foundation has not only made impact on Cabo Verde, but also left a really positive impact on me as a person. During what was a very difficult time in the entire world, CSD was making people smile every week with our project; Dá Valor. I'm so grateful I could be part of this project and to have experienced this wave of positivity with an amazing group of individuals. Noy is such a kind hearted person who is always open to ideas and motivates everybody around her to get the most out of themselves. With her encouragement and her faith in me we started the project with Organicup, and donated 500 menstruation cups to local women. I'm so proud of what we achieved together and hope that we sparked the imagination of others to pass on this positive message that we spread around. Hopefully CSD can continue to make an impact for many more years to come!

CSD-Foundation

CSD-Foundation organises projects rooted in education, entrepreneurship and a sustainable impact on the touristic island Sal in Cabo Verde. Since 2019 we create opportunities by facilitating a network between travellers, local communities, schools, foundations, businesses and professionals. Our ambassadors also collect materials for those who want to start their business and boost self-reliance. We reduce inequalities by creating projects with mixed people, filled with the local norms and values. So that there is a win-win-win for everybody. Together with you!

Sinti Bo Morabeza 2025

In 2025, the CSD-Foundation organized the photography contest Sinti Bo Morabeza, inviting local photographers to capture the theme of Morabeza.
The award ceremony and exhibition took place in September.

Education

Learning and growing happens outside our comfort zones. We invite people to participate in projects, classes, or organise a meeting between individuals. We co-create and design projects, so people can be more self-reliant. Education is key.

Tourism should benefit both visitors and local communities. On Sal island, this is not always the case, yet, tourism is booming. We promote responsible and authentic experiences that immerse you in local culture while respecting the environment and traditions, combining with education.

Local entrepreneurship

Strong communities thrive on talent. We empower social entrepreneurship by integrating entrepreneurs into our projects, providing and creating opportunities, visibility, and the support needed to grow sustainably and become more self-reliant. Often, combined with educational projects.
