Hélio taught himself to paint. Since he was young he has been busy with drawing and painting. We have mostly helped Hélio get materials, because they are either not made or very expensive on Sal. Art materials that are imported are very expensive. Think paint, brushes and canvases ( small and big). We also try to show clients his way. Sometimes he paints commissions, but mostly tourists want to buy a local artwork from him.
